2009 Winner
We are delighted to announce George Young as the winner of this year's John Jones Art on Paper Award at Zoo 2009.
Represented by CRISP Gallery (London/ LA), George's work comprises wall based drawing with accompanying sculpture. The work By Design has been acquired for the John Jones Collection and will be presented in the collection space, which is open to the public between 9-5 from Monday to Friday.
George Young (B.1981) lives and works in London after completing his MFA at the Royal College of Art in 2008.
One of the selection panel, art critic Martin Herbert commented 'Its not just about the work on paper or about the sculpture, its about the strong relationship between them... a work on paper in an expanded field'.
