The John Jones readymade canvases are pre-stretched and ready to use immediately. The advantage of an acrylic primed painting surface is that it can be used with either oil or acrylic paint. The 12oz cotton duck canvas material is a more economically priced product with a smooth, regular surface, an even grain and also promises durability. The canvas is pre-assembled with 1 crossbar for extra support, and has the option of being tightened with wedges in the corners of the canvas. This product is prepared using our Large Section Stretcher Bars, which have a depth of 3.2cm (1 1/4") and a width of 6cm (2" 3/8"). All our readymade canvases can be ordered in either landscape or portrait orientation.
