Digital Services

As well as our digital services we provide low, medium and high resolution records of your work allowing for easy digital reference and cataloguing on collection management systems and image libraries as well as the internet.   

We utilise the latest digital cameras and lenses to capture both 2D and 3D art works at high, medium and low resolutions. Our digital equpment is the best on the market, instead of capturing millions of colours (like most digital cameras), ours captures billions. You can keep images on file plus there are endless possibilities to edit and process the images.

Scanning of different media types

We offer a range of different scanning services, from low resolution scans for use on the Internet or high resolution, high quality scans for reproduction in print. We accept all popular film formats from 35mm to 11”x14” both negative and positive. We can also scan from flat-art and sculpture up to 96”long.

For high quality reproductions we suggest you scan originals at 300dpi at the size you wish them to be viewed. If you’re not sure exactly what you need, then our experienced photographic team can help you find the right solution.

Insurance

Insurance companies often insist you have your valuables catalogued and photographed to help identification in case the worst happens and you need to make a claim. We can photograph all your items and produce an indexed catalogue for you and your insurance company’s records.

Retouching and Manipulation

If artwork is damaged or you need to enhance certain aspects of an original we can photograph the image in order for our skilled retouchers to work on it and produce a new copy. This way the original is never harmed and can be given (if needed) to a conservator to prevent further deterioration.
