Art Collection Care

Art Collection Care

At John Jones, we offer a tailored art collection care service, suitable for small private collections to large corporate collections.

The principal risks to art collections are unregulated handling and movement; moisture; fire and theft. The use of poor framing materials such as acidic mounts and glues also risk the inherent stability of the artwork. Preservation methods are tailored to the type of artwork and environment in which they will be exhibited and include artwork documentation, environmental monitoring and disaster management.

During a site visit, our specialist artwork conservators can assess your collection to identify whether conservation or re-framing is required to further protect works, as well as advising on the environmental conditions, installation and storage of your collection.
