Ludovica Gioscia: Neurotic Seduction Astral Production opens in John Jones Project Space
21 November 2014
Last night the John Jones Project Space launched a new installation, Neurotic Seduction Astral Production, by Italian born artist and self-confessed hoarder, Ludovica Gioscia. The expansive wall-based decollage are formed through the accumulation of several layers of wallpapers which are then peeled back by the artist, ripping away the layers to reveal the strata underneath.

Thank you to all who attended the busy preview on 20th November. The exhibition is set to run for one month, so make sure you come along to see it before 20th December. All Project Space exhibitions are free and open to the public between Tue-Fri 11am-6pm, Sat 10am-3pm. We recommend stopping by Exeter Street Bakery next door after your visit for a warming hot chocolate or selection of freshly prepared Italian dishes.
To accompany Ludovica Gioscia’s exhibition the experienced John Jones Conservation team will be holding a workshop aimed specifically at practicing artists, which will focus on the physical properties and long-term ageing characteristics of papers and adhesives. Ludovica Gioscia will also be in conversation with John Jones Project Space Curator Cassandra Needham to discuss some of the key themes underpinning her work. Find out more.
