Framing the Horst: Photographer of Style exhibition at the V&A
06 October 2014
This year, the John Jones team were thrilled to work closely with the V&A and a private collector to frame over 200 photographs by the internationally famed photographer Horst P. Horst for the V&A’s current 1930's fashion photography retrospective Horst: Photographer of Style, which runs until 4th January 2015.
John Jones frame designers and craftspeople produced a range of beautifully bespoke, museum standard, conservation grade wood and welded metal frames, in a wide selection of special finishes, including gilding, gesso, and colour washes. The frames were designed with conservation as a priority, to ensure the works are protected from long term damage, as well as stylistically to compliment Horst’s superb variety of fashion, travel and surrealist photographic prints and drawings.
