Innovations in Conservation Mounting Workshop held at John Jones
05 September 2014
As part of John Jones’ commitment to conservation education we held an Icon Book & Paper Group CTR workshop on conservation mounting in our brand new conservation studio.
The course leader Hugh Phibbs, formerly of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, has taught and published widely on preserving works of art on paper. In this 3-day workshop he explored innovations in conservation mounting of art on paper. 20 participants took part in the 3-day intensive course discussing innovative conservation mounting methods and developments in conservation materials and adhesives.
John Jones is delighted to be hosting events like this Icon Book & Paper Group CTR workshop. With our new space we can start to develop our educational programme in conjunction with our not-for-profit Project Space. Find out more about our upcoming events here.
