Hew Locke exhibits Beyond the Sea Wall at Hales Gallery 10 October – 22 November

Edinburgh born, London based, fine artist Hew Locke returns for his forth solo exhibition at Bethnal Green’s Hales Gallery this October. He will showcase a variety of sculptures, painted photographs and share certificates which explore past and present, good and bad fortune and memories of his childhood living in Georgetown, Guyana. Ai Weiwei at Blenheim Palace 1 October - 14 December

Blenheim Palace has launched the Blenheim Palace Art Foundation, founded by Edward Spencer-Churchill, son of the Duke of Marlborough. An avid art collector, he has enlisted curator and consultant Michael Frahm to direct the arts programme which starts with celebrated Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. Read more

John Jones Design Consultant, Tim Blake, judges V&A #MyHorstPhoto competition

John Jones Design Consultant, Tim Blake, is this week’s guest judge for the Victoria & Albert Museum #MyHorstPhoto Instagram competition. Tim designed a selection of over 300 beautifully bespoke frames for the current Horst: Photographer of Style retrospective at the Victoria & Albert Museum in a range of gesso, colour wash and gilt finishes. V&A video: Horst in Colour showcases John Jones services

The V&A have released a new video Horst in Colour. It reveals the process of creating new colour prints for their current exhibition Horst: Photographer of Style. This film documents the prints dry mounting and framing process completed by the John Jones team. Read more
