Tamsin Relly and John Jones
Tamsin Relly is a long-time client of John Jones, choosing our high quality artist panels and expert framing for her artworks. Relly’s paintings are made with water soluble oil applied onto John Jones gesso-primed aluminium panels. Our gesso panels are made with a mixture of rabbit skin glue and whiting to create a super soft and absorbent painting surface which is built up in layers and sanded to the artist’s desired finished. The aluminium surface has many conservation benefits; they are very light weight and rigid, they do not release harmful emissions which can damage works of art over time and will not react to a shift in environment.
