Open House London - the capital’s greatest architectural showcase - returns the weekend of the 20th – 21st of September. This year is set to be one of the biggest years yet with over 800 buildings across London opening their doors to the public, including iconic buildings such as 10 Downing Street and innovative architecture like the Antony Gormley Room at The Beaumont.

John Jones is delighted to be taking part in this year’s programme. We are partnering with our neighbours the Park Theatre in Finsbury Park, to deliver timed tours at 10:15, 11:30, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, and 3:00 on Saturday 20th of September which are bookable via Eventbrite. Each tour will last approximately 45 minutes with a maximum of 20 people on each. Guided tours are timed to compliment tours of the Park Theatre. The John Jones Arts Building will also be open for general public viewing until 4:00.

The John Jones Arts Building

The new John Jones Arts Building in Finsbury Park, designed by David Gallagher Associates, launched in June 2014. Taking inspiration from 1930s New York office buildings and industrial Clerkenwell warehouses, The Arts Building features raw concrete floors and full height windows offering views across London’s skyline, from the Olympic Park and Canary Wharf in the East to St Pauls, The Shard and The Post Office Tower. Based over 6 floors the 57,000 square foot Arts Building houses our design studios, conservation room, photographic studio and printing department, fitting and artwork presentation workshops and specialist humidity and climate controlled artwork storage facilities. The Arts Building also houses our 1,000 square foot not-for-profit Project Space and Artist Studio.
