Ripley - The July Week Exhibition 2014, at The Jockey Club Rooms

Longstanding John Jones client and renowned equine photographer, Ripley, is set to showcase 14 large scale thoroughbred racehorse portraits, including one of the greatest National Hunt horses ‘Big Bucks,’ during July Week at the prestigious Jockey Club Rooms.
The exhibition is open for members from 7th – 12th July, and opens to the public for one day only on 8th July from 10am – 4pm. This promises to be an outstanding survey of technically brilliant photography.
Ripley is well known for his extensive use of post-production tools; to blend images, enhance lighting and even redraw sections of his captivating high resolution photographs. His works bring together his natural understanding and empathy towards animalistic behaviour, with his photographic eye for documenting dramatic landscapes.

The Jockey Club, in Newmarket, has been at the forefront of horse racing for 250 years - Over that period The Jockey Club have acquired one of the most distinguished collections of horse racing art in Britain. Ripley’s stunning portraits will be in good company displayed alongside masterpieces by esteemed painters; George Stubbs, J F Herring Senior, John Ferneley, JN Sartorius, Emil Adam and Sir Alfred Munnings.
