Pedro Paricio exhibits ‘Shaman’ at Halcyon Gallery, 27th June – 27th July.
16 June 2014
Following on from Pedro Paricio’s successful ‘Diary of an Artist’ exhibition, and others across Europe and America, he returns to showcase a new body of work entitled ‘Shaman’ for a month long exhibition from 27th June at Halcyon Gallery, London.
Canarian artist Pedro Paricio relocated to London a year ago, during this period he developed a new body of work exploring a different direction, turning away from his art historical references. His new series of 25 bright, stylistic paintings highlight spiritual symbols and icons. They explore shamanistic practices of healing, prediction and magic, in order for the artist to take his audience on a journey to reach a state of euphoria. Although the paintings feature Paricio as the subject he would like the viewer to consider a general connection between the body and spirituality.

Pedro Paricio will also be exhibiting at Tenerife Espacio De Las Arts (TEA) from October 2014 – March 2015.
John Jones is proud to have produced a selection of frames for Paricio’s exhibition as part of an on-going relationship with Halcyon Gallery. Our Design Consultants decided to run these in a solid FSC regulated walnut and finish it with a hand gilded inner frame to complement Paricio’s bold paintings. We have produced museum quality frames for Halcyon’s past exhibitions including the renowned Dale Chihuly and multi-talented Bob Dylan.
