Clerkenwell Design Week returns for its fifth year across one of London’s thriving creative design hubs, EC1, from 20-22 May. CDW 2014 is set to showcase a larger, more innovative programme of showroom events, pop up exhibitions and site specific installations as well as key product launches.
2013 saw over 250 exhibitors and more than 50,000 attendees to events held across Clerkenwell’s creative sector. This year’s CDW will introduce, Platform, a new show which aims to recognise upcoming design talent with stands including; Sir John Cass faculty of art, architecture and design at London Metropolitan University, Camberwell Collective, and CWC Ceramics, amongst others. Other exhibitors to keep an eye out for across CDW are the renowned Knoll, Morgan Furniture, and Boss Design.
The 19th century Farmiloe Building will also showcase the Design Factory high-class furniture, lighting and design which are currently on trend. A personal favourite to be displayed here is the Bosso and Osprey benches by talented designer James Burleigh whose designs are also housed in the new John Jones Arts Building.
