Renaissance Photography Prize 2014 – Call for Entrants

The Renaissance Photography Prize, an international prize open to both emerging and established artists, open call closes on 28th April. All the entrants’ fees are donated to Lavender Trust Breast Cancer Care Charity making this prize well worth entering and supporting.
After Fiona Gifford was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 34 she felt the desire to give back to the Lavender Trust. She formed the Renaissance Photography Prize in 2007 and to date they have raised £230,000 to help support the charities needed work.
There are no limits to the amount of times you can enter; single image entry is £15 and a series of 5 – 8 images is £50. All entrants will receive a 20% discount at the Metro Imaging on c-type prints until the competition deadline.
Works will be judged by industry professionals including; Photographers Martin Parr and Simon Roberts; Magnum Photos Cultural and Print Room Director Sophie Wright; Flowers Gallery Director of Photography Chris Littlewood; Publisher at Self Publish, Be Happy Bruno Ceschel; Financial Times Photography Editor Emma Bowkett; and British Journal of Photography Editor Simon Bainbridge.
In May, 60 images will be selected by the panel to be exhibited at the Getty Images Gallery, 12 of which will be shortlisted for the awards which total a staggering £6,000.
