Paris Photo LA – 25th – 27th April

81 exhibitors from 18 different countries are set to showcase a selection of distinguished photographic works in the renowned Paramount Pictures Studios Sound Stages, for the acclaimed Paris Photo’s LA edition between 25th – 27th April.
Young gallery exhibitions, solo shows, and publication projects are to be housed in Paramount’s unique replica New York City Street’s movie set. Hopper Art Trust has announced a tribute to the actor/director and artist Dennis Hooper will be held at the fair plus an innovative public programme called Sound + Vision which will include conversations and screenings.
The Conversations series, organised by Curator Douglas Fogle, will present talks by Stephen Shore, Jeff Wall and Kerry Tribe, whilst The Screenings, curated by Kevin Moore in partnership with Fotofocus programme, will present exceptional contemporary and historic film and video works which showcase the mediums ties to photography such as Julian Rosefeldt’s ‘Lonely Planet’ and Nicholas Provost’s ‘Stardust’.
Furthermore, internationally renowned galleries such as Gagosian, Flowers and Hamiltons will be exhibiting at the fair showing works by Hiroshi Sugimoto, Ed Rusha and Douglas Gordon, Mona Kuhn, Michael Wolf, Simon Roberts, Don McCullen, Irving Penn and Tomio Seike.
