National Open Art – Open Call

For the 18th time, the National Open Art Competition is now calling for entries of new, original artwork from both amateurs and professionals. The annual open competition aims to nurture creative talent from emerging and established artists, and last year saw the highest ever number of entries submitted from across the UK for consideration by the panel of judges.
The prize totals £60,000 and Approximately 100 works will be selected for the exhibition presented for the first time at London’s Somerset House from 18 September – 26 October 2014, before touring to the Minerva Theatre, Chichester. The prize winning works will be shown at the award winning Pallant House Gallery, Chichester in November, alongside its extensive collection of Modern British art.
The 2014 selectors are: Norman Ackroyd RA, Vanessa Branson, Caroline Irby, Chris Orr RA, and David Middleton.
The deadline for entries is 6 July 2014.
