Anderson & Low’s Internationally Distinguished Touring Exhibition Manga Dreams
17 March 2014
Anderson & Low’s Manga Dreams touring fine art photography exhibition opens at Young Gallery in Brussels, Belgium on 20th March and will run until 5th May.
Manga Dreams has had huge success at the 2011 Venice Biennale, Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and at Hamilton’s Gallery in London, and Young’s Gallery exhibition is set to be another successful showcase of Anderson & Low’s renowned digitally manipulated photography.
The exhibition interrogates how anime and manga influence Asian youth culture and youths worldwide to help forge their identities. Photography, digital painting, calligraphy and graphics are digitally manipulated to blur the media’s distinctions, and in doing so, the artists blur reality and the imagined.
British born Jonathan Anderson and Chinese - Malaysian Edwin Low have been collaborating since 1990. They are famed for their 2012 commission by the National Portrait Gallery to create a series of portraits of Olympic athletes to coincide with the London Olympic and Paralympic games. Anderson & Low are longstanding John Jones clients and we are dedicated to producing quality bespoke frames which showcase their photographs off whilst protecting them to a museum standard.
