‘Careers in the Visual Arts’ Courses at Whitechapel Gallery

Whitechapel Gallery has, in partnership with The Art Fund, announced four new ‘Careers in the Visual Arts’ courses set to run throughout March and April. The courses are designed to help you progress to your desired Visual Art, Museum or Foundation career with session topics that cover; Film and event programming, Exhibition organisation and commission, Strategic development and fundraising as well as Marketing and publicity. The courses offer practical advice on how to write a successful press release, the logistics of an event organisation, and will reveal the skills required for specific roles and present a selection of career opportunities you might not have considered yet.
Confirmed speakers include; Head of Communications at Tate, Liz Barrett, Head of Development at Whitechapel, Darryl de Prez, and Curator Tom Morton, known for his work on British Art Show 7, among others. Each course is £195 per person for 1 full day and £175 for members. Whitechapel is offering a £15 discount for those who book multiple courses.
