International Print Biennale 2014 Print Awards Call for entries

The International Print Biennale, established by Northern Print, is returning for its third year from June 27th – August 8th across the North East of England. Over 15 galleries will open their doors to exhibitions dedicated to celebrating the medium of Print in contemporary art practice. In 2011 the Biennale welcomed an audience over 153,000 to exhibitions at venues such as the BALTIC centre of contemporary art and the Bowes Museum.
The International Print Biennale Print Awards is the only showcase of its kind in the UK and is now accepting submissions! Artists may submit up to ten images that interpret print processes in any medium including 3D, video installation and site specific work. The submission fee is £25 and selected works will be shown at either the Hatton Gallery in Newcastle University or Northern Print. Prizes include the V&A print prize, where the winning print will be included in the V&A collection, and the National Glass Centre residency, where the winner will be provided with accommodation, materials allowance and access to their studios. The 2014 selection panel includes Stephen Coppel of the British Museum, artist David Nash and Susan Tallman, editor of Art in Print. Enter before 3rd March for the chance to be shortlisted.
