Call for entries - Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours 202nd open exhibition

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours annual open exhibition is now open for submissions until January 30th at 12 Noon. RI is seeking the best in modern and traditional contemporary watercolour painting to exhibit at the Mall Galleries in April 2014. The exhibition will exhibit RI member’s new work alongside selected watercolours by non-members, and a variety of sponsored prizes will be awarded to artworks that challenge the medium and are beautiful examples of draughtsmanship.

The submission fee is just £12 per artwork (£6 if you are aged 35 or under) and paintings are required to be recent works that have not previously been shown in London. Up to six works may be submitted per artist, of which four could be selected for exhibition. Submissions must be made using water soluble media, on a paper based support, and all works should be framed under glass with the image isolated from the frame by a mount. All works included in the final exhibition should be for sale with a minimum price of £450.
