Former British Museum curator Anna Harnden is set to launch a brand new contemporary art gallery in West London nestled between Sloane Square and South Kensington tube stations. Tryon St gallery aims to ‘bring together artists from different artistic and cultural backgrounds in order to create new dialogues concerning heritage and the contemporary’. Their inaugural exhibition entitled ‘Heritage Reinvented’ will include Ecuadorian artist Oscar Santillan, Korean sculptor Meekyoung Shin, photographer Tom Hunter, sculptor Brett Graham and Pakistani painter Ali Kazim, whom John Jones is delighted to have worked with in the past with Green Cardamom gallery. The collection will investigate how artists draw from their cultural past to communicate with a present day audience.

‘The exhibiting artists are united by their material transformations of their particular heritage traditions’.

The gallery is set to open on October 3rd and will provide a breath of fresh air to the West London art scene.
