Art Studio America: Contemporary Artist Spaces
08 August 2013
Following on from the success of Sanctuary: Britain’s artists and their studios, named as The Art Newspaper’s ‘Book of the Year’, our long-time clients Hossein Amirsadeghi and Maryam Eisler have edited a brand new publication exploring the private studios of leading artists active in America today. The book includes original interviews with the artists revealing their unique ideas and aspirations alongside insightful essays by the likes of Robert Storr, Mark Godfrey and Ben Genocchio. This privileged glimpse behind the scenes into one of the world’s largest creative communities is also a journey through the sweeping landscapes of America, which have ‘inspired artists since the Luminists and the landscape specialists of the Hudson River School’. The book is beautifully illustrated with specially commissioned photographs taken by established artist and John Jones client Robin Friend, documenting the practitioners in the environments in which they work.
Art Studio America: Contemporary Artist Spaces has a retail price of £65, however John Jones clients can purchase the book from our studios for the discounted price of £55.
