Sculpture Al Fresco III at Great Fosters
06 June 2013
Do you love sculpture? The great outdoors? A touch of luxury? If so, this could be the ideal exhibition for you. Every year, Marcelle Joseph Projects organise a stunning Summer exhibition in the grounds of the Great Fosters Hotel in Surrey, the former hunting lodge of King Henry VIII. This heritage venue will play host to ‘Sculpture Al Fresco III’, a collection of work by 13 contemporary sculptors asked to respond to the unique historical setting. Ten of the works are site specific, including pieces by John Jones clients Amy Stephens and Annie Morris. The organisers are known for highlighting important established and emerging artists in pop up galleries and unique spaces, and this year’s event is no different.
Members of the public are invited to browse a total of 20 sculptures in the beautiful Arts and Crafts gardens and public areas of the 450-year-old listed house, open daily 10-6pm from 5th June – 26th September. A real summer treat for art lovers!
