Jerwood Drawing Prize 2013

Jerwood Visual Arts is now welcoming entries for the UK’s largest and longest running annual open exhibition for drawing. This internationally respected prize champions excellence in contemporary drawing, celebrating pioneering techniques and showcasing the work of recent graduates alongside established artists. The prize has significantly contributed to the careers of Eileen Cooper RA and Tom Hammick (2004), Stuart Pearson-Wright and Ian Davenport (2007), and Emma Talbot (2008) among others. The 2013 judges include:
Kate Brindley, Director of Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art mima
Michael Craig-Martin RA, artist
Charlotte Mullins, art critic, writer, broadcaster, and Editor of Art Quarterly
A prize fund of £17,000 is divided amongst the winners, with first prize receiving £8,000! Apply before 17th June for the chance to be shortlisted.
