Derwent Art Prize

Entries are now being welcomed for the brand new Derwent Art Prize, conceived by the Cumberland Pencil Company to reward excellence in pencil drawing! Both British and international artists working in the medium are encouraged to apply, with prizes up to £8,750 up for grabs. Each artist may submit up to six artworks produced across charcoal, pastel, graphite, water-soluble and coloured pencils on a 2D or 3D support. Shortlisted works will be exhibited at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London 16th – 21st September before touring to several exciting venues throughout the UK including the Pencil Museum in Keswick, Cumbria. Apply before Monday 1st July, 2013 for the chance to win.
