Lucienne O’Mara - Recent Works
05 November 2012
London-based painter Lucienne O’Mara graduated from City & Guilds art school in 2011 and is known for her beautiful large-scale watercolours. The artist stains surfaces in multiple layers to create abstract portraits which are visually ambiguous and suggest a long communication process between artist and subject. O’Mara’s painting technique prevents her images from becoming static monuments, instead working as living, breathing tributes to people and moments. A new exhibition of recent work by this talented painter is taking place 9th October – 13th November with a Reception Evening on Thursday 8th November 6:30 – 8:30pm at Suite Five, Islington House. The artist’s intelligent use of the watercolour medium and a delicate colour palette make this a must-see show. If you are interested in viewing the collection but are unavailable on Thursday, please contact John Evans or Stuart Evans to schedule an appointment.
John Jones is delighted to have two works by this artist on display in our current exhibition of work from our contemporary art collection.
