A.i.R Dubai

Internationally acclaimed Art Fair Art Dubai is working in partnership with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Delfina Foundation and Tashkeel to launch the second edition of Artist-in-Residence (A.i.R) Dubai. An open call for artists has been issued, which will result in three Emirati artists and a curator being selected for the project. The residencies will take place January – March 2013,  and will also include three international artists nominated by the A.i.R Dubai selection panel and Sarah Rifky, the 2013 Guest Juror. A documentary on the success of A.i.R Dubai 2012 directed by UAE-based filmmaker Mahmoud Kaabour is available to view here. The deadline for applications is September 16th, and more information on how to apply can be found on the Art Dubai website.
