New Acquisition to the John Jones Collection

Over the 40 years that John Jones has been operating, we have acquired a number of artworks. The work represents the wide variety of the clients and contacts who have worked with the company over the years.

The latest addition to the collection is a series of works by The House of Fairytales. Established by the artists Deborah Curtis and Gavin Turk, The House Of Fairy Tales is a child-centred artist led project which draws on an extensive team of artists, performers, writers, educationalists, designers, musicians, film makers, dreamers and philosophers to create magical, parallel worlds where learning is play and play is directed learning.

The first House of Fairy Tales Print Portfolio was made with the help of 23 international artists to produce a series of images inspired by the narratives of fairy tales which has been sold to collectors and museums worldwide, including The Tate Gallery, Walsall Art Gallery, The National Museum of Wales and The Government Art Collection.

The images are hand produced using a variety of traditional techniques including screen-printing and lithography, relief and etching, as well as platinum and digital printing.  The 22 prints are available in a limited edition of 60 boxed sets with each sheet measuring 30 x 36cms

John Jones collaborated with the House of Fairytales to create a range of beautiful frames that responded to each unique print within the series
