Fine-art photographer and artist Ripley creates striking work through the medium of ultra-high-resolution digital photography, with extensive work done post production. This body of images explores thoroughbred race horses and pays homage to the artist's love of animal photography. John Jones is pleased to work closely with Ripley to ensure that the final image is printed to his specifications using the finest canvases, papers and light-fast archival inks. The printed images are then stretched by John Jones technicians onto our kiln-dried tulip wood stretcher bars, a durable and strong canvas stretcher support with a low risk of splitting.
Our UK based craftspeople frame each piece by hand to a museum standard quality with acid-free conservation grade materials, protecting the artwork from fading, discolouration and deterioration caused by cheap, poor quality frames. The artwork is then professionally hung with secure fixing mechanisms in the desired location using John Jones installation specialists. Our install team can offer valuable advice on the best location for your fine art from both an aesthetic and a conservation perspective and work cleanly and efficiently to set time scales.
"As a fine art photographer and artist I am fanatical about every aspect of my work. It proved difficult finding a company who shares this same ethos, and consequently it has been a pleasure to work with Kevin in the Printing department at John Jones. He not only shares my fastidious attention to detail, but also has a great eye for colour reproduction as well as the experience of working with the latest materials and technology. He also shows a genuine enthusiasm for the work" Ripley
