Every die hard football fan has a draw full of professional shirts from past seasons, many of which are highly collectible items! If you'd like to showcase your collection in style, the John Jones framing team have the experience and expertise to frame any type of clothing.
One of our Framing Consultants was presented with this Chelsea Cup Winner’s Shirt by our long-term client Gianluca Vialli, Chelsea Manager between 1998 and 2000. The shirt has been signed by 14 players and presents both sentimental and financial value. Many framing institutions use acidic glues to secure football shirts in place, which can cause long-term staining and deterioration. Instead, this garment has been lightly stitched to an archival backboard and presented within a contemporary acrylic box frame without the use of any glue. The acrylic casing contains a low glare coating to reduce unsightly reflections and an ultra violet light filter to protect the precious signatures from fading over time. This acid-free museum quality design will reduce the risk of long-term damage caused by heat, light and moisture. The frame is typical of those produced for a Warhol screen print and looks particularly effective when displayed in a grid formation of matching designs.
