Florence Trust Summer Show 2011

This exhibition showcased the work of the eleven international artists selected for the Florence Trust 2011 Studio Residency Programme: Justin Eagle, Anna M.R. Freeman, Alan Magee, Taisuke Makihara, Catrin Morgan, Freya Pocklington, Maya Ramsay, Annelore Schneider, Ehryn Torrell, Adam Watts and Andy Wicks.

The work spans a broad range of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture, installation and video, all produced throughout the year long residency. The John Jones Artist Surfaces Department was pleased to provide bespoke stretchers and panels for all three of the artists working with paint in this exhibition, and also contributed towards framing. This fantastic collection was set against the dramatic backdrop of St. Saviour’s, London, a Grade 1 listed Victorian church which added significantly to the impressive atmosphere of the exhibition. The Florence Trust Summer Show has become an established opportunity to present emerging creative talent looking to push boundaries and explore the limits of their work, and we wish all of the artists involved future success.
