Art on the Underground - ‘15 for 150’

John Jones was delighted to sponsor ’15 for 150’, a collection of limited edition prints commissioned by Art on the Underground to mark the 150th anniversary of the tube! 15 leading contemporary artists were invited to create a poster that interprets their own individual idea of what the underground means to them.

John Jones designed a series of bespoke framing solutions for a special signed and numbered edition of these prints. Each frame was created to provide long-term conservation to the artwork whilst also complementing the individual style and colour-scheme of the print. Our designs included welded aluminium, stained maple wood and hand-painted wash effects, all produced by UK-based craftspeople to protect against the damaging effects of natural and electric light, dust, airborne pollutants, knocks and bumps. This highly collectible series was exhibited at a special ‘15 for 150’ launch event at the London Underground iconic headquarters in St. James’s Park.

'John Jones framed all these works to the highest professional standard. They look fantastic and we strongly encourage all those who purchase the prints to consider the John Jones framing service.' Tamsin Dillon, Head of Art on the Underground
