The Algerian Embassy in central London has recently undergone a complete renovation and now has a brand new luxurious interior designed by HWO Architects. In order to clearly mark the exterior of the embassy, a golden plaque engraved with Algerian cultural iconography was commissioned for display on the 2nd floor balcony of the building. Our design team were delighted to present this plaque within a hand-made circular frame, cut from high quality walnut wood and stained to a bespoke finish. As this plaque is positioned outdoors and will be exposed to diverse heat and moisture, the frame has been protected with weatherproof materials to increase its longevity and keep it looking beautiful.
Our specialist installation team designed a unique bracket support system for the back of the frame, enabling it to fit safely and securely to the balcony railings. The plaque is positioned at a slight angle to allow rainwater to filter harmlessly away from the design whilst also ensuring it is clearly visible from street level.
This bespoke design acts as a sign post for the building, reflecting the grandeur of the embassy interior and the calibre of guests that will be visiting the ambassador there.
