Introduction

Welcome to the future John Jones Art Building!

On this section of our website you'll find information about the new Clerkenwell warehouse-style building, our plans for whats going in it, the architects and the proposed creative quarter for Finsbury Park.

The artist's illustration above shows some of the activity that will be going on in the new building - from framing consultation and discussions with artists, to artwork conservation, specialist storage facilities, artist studios, an arts reference library, a seminar space, an exhibition space and a cafe. We're working in partnership with a specialist developer of high quality student accomodation called Spiritbond. They're currently working on a large project with Kingston University and deliver student schemes with a strong emphasis on integrated living and community. As part of our scheme, once they've built the new John Jones building, they'll then be building student rooms for an arts college which we're very excited about.

The scheme is phased which means there will be no interruption to John Jones whilst our new building is being built. We'll continue to operate from our current site and are aiming to move into the new building at the end of 2012.
