John Jones is seeking an experienced conservator to undertake practical conservation of artworks on paper, mainly contemporary. The role will involve examinations, quotes, treatment, research, and documentation. The post holder will be confident to work independently, help maintain the studio and run it in the manager’s absence. There is scope in the future for the role to involve collection management projects and brief talks on current projects for John Jones tours. Depending on projects and schedules, the post holder may be asked to oversee interns. Professional development will be encouraged.
John Jones are looking to recruit a Full Time Sanding Technician into their already well established Sanding Team.
Preparing the surface of the product to the correct standard of finish prior to it being moved to the next operation within the overall production process, and ensuring priorities set within the work schedule are adhered to.
